According to Putnam County Sheriff Robert L. Langley, Jr., during the month of November, the Putnam County Sheriff’s Department Narcotics Enforcement Unit made a total of nine arrests.
The arrests include:
- Four arrests for possession of heroin.
- Four arrests resulted in the seizure of 500 Xanax tablets and concentrated cannabis.
- One arrest that included three search warrants that ended with the seizure of five handguns, one rifle, quantities of cocaine, Xanax, methamphetamine, concentrated cannabis, and several pounds of marijuana, and $85,689 in cash.
Langley said that as with many of these operations, the arrests were made possible with the continued work with multiple agencies, including the DEA, Department of Homeland Security, New York State Police, Westchester County Police Department, City of Peekskill Police Department, Town of Kent Police Department, Town of Carmel Police Department, City of Yonkers Police Department, Town of Yorktown Police Department, City of Poughkeepsie Police Department, the Putnam County District Attorney’s Office and other federal, state and local police agencies.
"The combined efforts of all these agencies are making our communities safer for all our families," Langley added.
